Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has made another significant investment in Mumbai’s real estate market by purchasing three additional commercial properties worth ₹60 crore. The properties are located in the Signature Building on Veera Desai Road, Andheri West. According to property registration documents accessed by FloorTap.com, these acquisitions span a carpet area of 8,429 square feet and include three office units along with three car parks.
The seller in this high-value transaction was Veer Savarkar Projects Private Limited. Bachchan paid a stamp duty of ₹3.57 crore for the purchase. Neither the buyer nor the seller could be reached for comment.
Celebrity Neighbors in the Signature Building
Amitabh Bachchan joins a host of other Bollywood celebrities who own units in the same commercial tower. Ajay Devgn, Sara Ali Khan with her mother Amrita Singh, Kartik Aaryan, and Manoj Bajpayee are notable neighbors in the Signature Building.
Manoj Bajpayee and his wife Shabana Raza made headlines in October 2023 with their purchase of four units in the building for ₹31 crore. Each unit cost ₹7.77 crore and attracted a stamp duty of ₹46.62 lakh.
Sara Ali Khan and Amrita Singh acquired their unit in July 2023 for ₹9 crore, while Kartik Aaryan bought his property in September 2023 for ₹10 crore. Both transactions involved Aishwarya Property and Estates Private Limited as the seller.
With these recent acquisitions, the Signature Building continues to be a hotspot for Bollywood celebrities, further enhancing its prestige in Mumbai’s real estate market.
