Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has made another significant real estate investment in Ayodhya, further strengthening his connection with the holy city. According to a report by The Times of India, the legendary actor has purchased a second piece of land in the city, located approximately 10 kilometers away from the newly consecrated Ram Mandir.
This latest acquisition has been made through the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust, an entity named after Amitabh Bachchan’s father and formed in 2013 to honor his legacy. The newly purchased land spans an impressive 54,454 square feet, marking the actor’s second investment in Ayodhya.
Previously, on January 16, 2024, just after the grand consecration of the Ram Mandir, Amitabh Bachchan had acquired another prime piece of land at Haveli Avadh for ₹4.54 crore. The specifics regarding the purpose of these land acquisitions remain undisclosed.
Pratap Singh, the assistant inspector general of the Stamp and Registration Department of Ayodhya, confirmed the sale deeds but refrained from revealing further details. He stated, “We can only confirm that sale deeds have taken place. Once the building plan is approved by the local development authority, one would know what is going to be the purpose of the two investments.”
Ayodhya has become a hotspot for real estate investments following the development of the grand Ram Mandir and infrastructural advancements in the region.
