In a notable real estate transaction, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s company, KA Enterprises LLP, has acquired a luxurious apartment for ₹17.8 crore in Mumbai's upscale Bandra West. The 1845 sq ft apartment, located on the 15th floor of the Sagar Resham Co-operative Housing Society, was bought from Enorm Nagpal Realty LLP. The deal, documented by Zapkey.com, includes a significant stamp duty of approximately ₹1.07 crore and a registration fee of ₹30,000.
The Sagar Resham Co-operative Housing Society, developed by Enorm Nagpal Realty, features high-end 4 BHK and 5 BHK apartments. The per sq ft rate for this transaction stands at ₹96,400, reflecting the premium nature of the property. In comparison, local brokers estimate that the Bandra residential market ranges between ₹50,000 to ₹1.50 lakh per sq ft, with prominent areas like Carter Road, Bandstand, and Pali Hill commanding rates above ₹1 lakh per sq ft.
In a related real estate move, Ranveer Singh’s company, RS Filmcraft (OPC) Pvt Ltd, has leased an adjacent apartment for ₹8.2 lakh per month, with a security deposit of ₹73.8 lakh. This lease, effective from September 5, 2024, is set for 55 months, with rent increasing to ₹9.43 lakh per month in the latter part of the agreement.
Additionally, Ranveer Singh’s mother, Anju Bhavnani, acquired a neighboring apartment for ₹19.13 crore, spread over 1,822.45 sq ft, with a stamp duty of ₹95.68 lakh.
The couple’s real estate portfolio also includes a sea-facing quadruplex at Bandra Bandstand, reportedly valued over ₹100 crore, and a bungalow in Alibaug purchased in 2021 for ₹22 crore.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are set to appear in the highly anticipated film Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and scheduled for release during Diwali 2024. Ranveer Singh has also announced upcoming projects, including collaborations with Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, as well as a role in Farhan Akhtar's Don 3.
