Mumbai, November 6, 2024 — Shreegopal Kabra, promoter of RR Kabel Ltd, and his family have recently acquired two luxury apartments in Mumbai's prime Worli area for a staggering ₹198 crore. These opulent units, located on the 62nd floor of Oberoi Realty’s prestigious project, Oberoi Three Sixty West, span a total of 13,809 sq ft, and are among the city’s highest-profile residential purchases this year.
The apartments, offering panoramic sea views, are part of Oberoi Realty’s upscale twin-tower project, which includes lavish 4 BHK and 5 BHK units, as well as penthouses and duplex apartments. The project, completed with an occupancy certificate in 2022, provides each residence with west-facing views, aligning with the 360-meter-tall tower's name.
Documents accessed by IndexpTap.com reveal that these two units were acquired at an average rate of ₹1.43 lakh per sq ft. The transaction was finalized on October 29, 2024, accompanied by a substantial stamp duty of ₹7.29 crore and a registration fee of ₹60,000. Together, the two apartments come with ten dedicated car parking spaces.
The first unit, measuring 7,167 sq ft and valued at ₹102.76 crore, was registered under the names of Rajesh Kabra and Monal Kabra. The second unit, spanning 6,642 sq ft and valued at ₹95.40 crore, was purchased by Shreegopal Kabra and Kritidevi Kabra. This transaction underscores the Kabra family's preference for prime Mumbai real estate, adding to their existing duplex on the 42nd floor of Oberoi Three Sixty West, which they bought in 2019 for ₹56 crore.
This acquisition adds to the Kabra family's growing real estate portfolio. In early 2024, other RR Kabel promoters, Sumeet Mahendrakumar Kabra and Mahendra Kumar Rameshwarlal Kabra, acquired two luxury apartments in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, for ₹50.76 crore, according to Zapkey.com.
Both RR Kabel Ltd and Oberoi Realty declined to comment on this high-profile acquisition.
