In a high-profile real estate move, Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has renewed the lease for his luxurious sea-facing apartment in Mumbai’s premium Juhu locality, according to property documents accessed by Square Yards. The deal reflects not just the actor's growing stardom following the blockbuster success of his film ‘Chhaava’, which reportedly crossed the ₹600-crore mark, but also the continued trend of celebrities investing in Mumbai’s upscale neighborhoods.
As per the registration documents, Vicky Kaushal will be paying a monthly rent of ₹17.01 lakh for the first two years of the lease, which will rise to ₹17.86 lakh in the third year. Over the three-year lease period starting January 2025, the total rent outflow is estimated to be approximately ₹6.2 crore.
This renewal comes after Kaushal’s previous lease, signed in July 2021, which had a starting rent of ₹8 lakh per month. The significant increase in rent reflects both the rising real estate prices in prime Mumbai locations and the high value placed on luxury properties in Bollywood circles.
Juhu continues to be the epicenter of celebrity real estate in Mumbai. With its scenic beachfront, upscale dining, lush greenery, and proximity to Andheri and Bandra business hubs, Juhu remains a favorite among Bollywood’s elite.
In addition to Vicky Kaushal, actors like Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, and Shakti Kapoor also own or rent homes in the area. The locality is known for excellent connectivity via the Western Express Highway and Mumbai Metro, making it both convenient and prestigious.
This lease renewal underlines two key real estate trends:
For real estate enthusiasts, investors, or fans of celebrity lifestyles, Vicky Kaushal’s property deal offers a clear indicator of Mumbai’s enduring luxury real estate appeal.
